On August the 17th,    Chilean police have arrested two men over bomb threats that led to the disruption of several flights in Chile, Peru and Argentina.  The p lanes allegedly planted with bombs had to be diverted after taking off from Santiago’s airport. The threats turned out to be fake. The flights were forced to make emergency landings without telling the passengers the real reason of them so they would not freak out. A 29 year old chilean men was arrested because the evidence marked him. His charges were for making threats of explosives contrary to national security legislation. Hundreds of passengers were grounded with their luggage at the airport after the threats to LATAM Airlines and SKY Airlines. 

Two tourists from Chile are facing the death penalty in Malaysia for allegedly murdering a man in a hotel for past one year. Felipe Osiadacz and Fernando Candia are on trial over the killing of a Malaysian in the lobby of the Kuala Lumpur hotel in August last year, less than 24 hours after they arrived in the country on holiday.  Both men say that they are not guilty and tried to self-defend themselves. They said that it all was an accident and that it was not on purpose, but anyways, Malaysia has a mandatory death penalty for murder, so they should be hanged. The trial resumes on September 24th.

On Thursday 30th, a large fire started in a stockpile of disused tires of the “Famaprica” Company, located in the sector of Rinconada, in the municipality of Maipú. It was estimated that 3.000 tires were on fire this Thursday morning. 32 people were evacuated and 3 volunteers with minor injuries were reported. It is believed that the fire was intentional and the Mayor said authorities will take legal action against those who are responsible.

According to the study "violence in couple relationships" carried out by INJUV (Instituto Nacional de la Juventud), 34% of young people, between 15 and 29 years old, have suffered situations of violence. In my opinion this is unacceptable, in addition that violence is not the way to solve problems, one must always respect the other and especially if it is your partner because respect is one of the first things to be established in a relationship so that it works.

Astronauts at the International Space Station are working to repair a small leak that was discovered on  Wednesday night (Aug. 29). They determined that the leak is in the Soyuz spacecraft, which is docked on the Russian segment of the space station, while the leak caused a slight drop in cabin pressure, it did not pose an immediate danger to the astronauts currently living aboard the station. Quite surprisingly Alexander Gerst initially plugged the gap with his finger, before duct taping over the hole to prevent more air leaking into space, clearly not a long term fix, as engineers at Nasa are trying to come up with a better solution. The damage is believed to have occurred when a micrometeorite or piece of space debris hit the station traveling at a very high speed.

It is believed my many people that it is disgraceful that real madrid president, fiorentino perez has just handed the historic number seven shirt to mariano diaz, after the departure of the club legend cristiano ronaldo to juventus this summer. The number seven should be used by a world class player who has won after performing in the world of football and not by a player who has not won anything. Clearly these results upset the reds fanbase and staff, as Mourinho promised a great season with a new proyect to put at play, but the team has shown nothing but bad things. The team is lacking a lot, they haven't been playing well and haven't lived up to the expectation. These critics gave bitrh to the idea of Mourinho getting sacked, for him to be replaced by another manager. Mourinho's three year run at the Old Trafford hasn't lived up to the expectation, finishing on low positions of the table and just winning minor cups like a Community Shield and the Europa League. I think it is time for the reds to move on from Jose and find a new manager, it os xlear they haven't benefited from his style of play and they are going through a rough moment

Last month, the professional basquetball player, DeMarcus Cousins, left the New Orleand Pelicans team to join the two times back-to-back champions, the Golden State Warriors. Far-right protesters gathered on the streets of chemitz to protest against the government of Angela Merkel and her migration politics, after two sirian inmigrants killed a german citizen. This far-right are against muslim inmigration on Germany and many of them are neo-nazis. The march ended violenly when other people confront and tried to stop the march, so police officers were forced to call re enforcement to stop the protesters. This week a I heard on the news a tragic event, ten old ladies were found dead because of a fire. The fire started at about 3:30 am at the “Santa Marta” nursing home in Chiguayante, Bio Bio. The nursing had a capacity of 45 people and at the time of the fire there were 42 elders. I hope families of the deceased are alright and that the elderly people that got hurt are getting proper medical help.

The German government approved on Thursday a law to introduce a third sex in the birth register, in addition to the male and female, under the name of “other” or “diverse”. This is a big step not only for Germany but to the world because once a country begins to legislate this type of laws, other countries begin to reflect on the issue and even follow the country that started it. Personally I think that there are only two types of gender, male and female. What do you think? 

A couple months ago, there was a terrorist attack in London. A bus ran into a crowd of people and many were injured, some even lost their lives. This why it is very important to be cautious and careful all the time.

Earlier today, Latam airlines were warned for bombs attacks. Luckily for the passengers it was a false alarm. I think that the fact we are exposed to things such as bombs and guns is very dangerous, for example in the US, guns are allowed. I think that this shouldn’t be availabe for everyone because it encourages the use of weapons in the country. Guns just encourage violence, being this a reason why the world has become such a dangerous place to live, due to all the horrors that occur in a daily basis.

Monsignor Ricardo Ezzati announced that he will not carry out the Te Deum, something that many political and social sectors had requested. Moreover, the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Maya Fernandez and the President of the Chamber of Senators, Carlos Montes, had already said that if Ricardo Ezzati carried out the ceremony, they will not be there. A 92 year old man went missing from his elderly home in Limache. Apparently something happened at that place that a misfortune was the consequence. Firefighters came to help and found him trapped in between walls. He was transferred to the Hospital as soon as they got him out. He showed síntoma of hypothermia and dehydration, so he will have to stay there until he gets better, and they said that shouldn't take that long just a few days. Unortunately he was not able to survive. And now the court wills if there are any guilty people.

Arturo Vidal was presented last week as the newest Barcelona F.C. reinforcement after completing his transfer from the german club Bayern Munchen for an estimated fee that goes around 27 million euros. Recently a mother and a daughter seemed to be in trouble, apparently the girl who was about 2 years old had consequences after they both, mother and daughter, had fallen. She started to show sintoms and these new nurse, Felipe Navarro, immediately went to them and helped. The mother was so moved of the charisma and attention of the nurse, who not only helped the daughter but the mother, that now she is calling him a hero and trying to find him in a campaign she did in social webs. Why did she do that? Because she wants to say "thank you". So I wanted to share this with you because I find it very sweet because sometimes we forget about people around us and care only about what is happening to us. We need more people to be like these so we can achieve a great environment.
