New fuel spill affects Puerto de Ventanas in Puchuncaví
This afternoon, during the maintenance works to the pipes of the company Enex, located in the Port of Ventanas de Puchucaví, a hydrocarbon spill occurred on the pier's floor that ended up falling into the sea.
After the spill of the hydrocarbon, the personnel of Enex and of Puerto Ventanas S.A., activated the protocols and response measures, containing the product and deploying absorbent sleeves between the pier pillars of the same port company.
The maritime authority, for its part, within its emergency protocols, arranged afloat and terrestrial means to prevent the spilled product from reaching the Ventanas beach.
The personnel of the Captaincy of Puerto Quintero informed that "it will keep verifying the control of the emergency and supervising the cleaning work"
