guns and violence

Earlier today, Latam airlines were warned for bombs attacks. Luckily for the passengers it was a false alarm. I think that the fact we are exposed to things such as bombs and guns is very dangerous, for example in the US, guns are allowed. I think that this shouldn’t be availabe for everyone because it encourages the use of weapons in the country. Guns just encourage violence, being this a reason why the world has become such a dangerous place to live, due to all the horrors that occur in a daily basis.

    I also think that in USA not everyone should be able to buy weapons and ammunition as well but get a permit from the state or something like that even after this rule there would be a lot of traffic in arms and ammunition but the damage will be less than before.

    The alarm of Latam started because of an unhappy client that was mad because Latam Airlines lost his suitcase so he called the airline telling them that in a plane there were 4 bombs, but it was just because he was mad so he was kind of joking. So, not because in EEUU they are having problems by selling guns to any one and those guys kill many people like in schools, or in cinemas, those problem will arrive to Chile. Chile is much savier and has everything more under control when we talk about selling guns to anyone. And in Chile there aren’t many crazy guys like in EEUU that are capable of killing 50 kids in one day.

"Intentional" fire at storage in Maipu

On Thursday 30th, a large fire started in a stockpile of disused tires of the “Famaprica” Company, located in the sector of Rinconada, in the municipality of Maipú. It was estimated that 3.000 tires were on fire this Thursday morning. 32 people were evacuated and 3 volunteers with minor injuries were reported. It is believed that the fire was intentional and the Mayor said authorities will take legal action against those who are responsible.

 New fuel spill affects Puerto de Ventanas in              Puchuncaví This afternoon, during the maintenance works to the pipes of the company Enex, located in the Port of Ventanas de Puchucaví, a hydrocarbon spill occurred on the pier's floor that ended up falling into the sea. After the spill of the hydrocarbon, the personnel of Enex and of Puerto Ventanas S.A., activated the protocols and response measures, containing the product and deploying absorbent sleeves between the pier pillars of the same port company. The maritime authority, for its part, within its emergency protocols, arranged afloat and terrestrial means to prevent the spilled product from reaching the Ventanas beach. The personnel of the Captaincy of Puerto Quintero informed that "it will keep verifying the control of the emergency and supervising the cleaning work"

World Cup: Most important and viewed sports tournament

It is almost time for another World Cup to begin in Russia, but despite the content and main attraction that makes it exciting, i think that historically this tournament has become the most important for an specific sport worldwide. It is incredible how this Cup can stop the whole world and become the center of attention for a whole month in most of the countries around the world. I hope this year´s edition will be as intense and thrilling as the last one in 2014.
