How rain affects society

In Chile, winter is coming. On the one hand, this means that crops will grow and the air wil be cleaner, on the other hand homeless people are having a hard time going through this, homeless men are dying out of cold and starvation. How can we live like this knowing that this is happening 15 minutes from our cozy homes. We must do something about it. If you see someone in need there is a hotline that you can ring and they will take care of it until the rain stops.

    I agree with Josefina, we should be grateful that rain is coming, but more importantly we have to open our eyes and realise that homeless people are dying and elders are getting sick and because of their age this has huge repercussions. The government has given multiple hotliness such as 800 104 777 option 0. We should also take notice on the animals that are starving in the streets and dying because of the cold, the mayor of Las Condes (Joaquin Lavin) has given the option of an animal shelter for street dogs and if you want you can go and adopt one! These are the options that our authorities have given us that help the chilean people.

    yes! If it is not even winter yet and we already feel the cold in the morning. And not only homeless people but also people that are leaving in camps like Bosque Hermoso or Medialuna. Because a house in bad conditions also has great consequences in winter. They can get a cold, and if they don't have the resources to get better, then the cold could become into something serious. So imagine if people in caps that have to work while their child and frizzing and getting wet in their own houses, how will the homeless people be. We need less talk and more doing.

    I think that many poor people are going through cold and even dying. There should be clothing campaigns for these people. We should help those who are cold

"Intentional" fire at storage in Maipu

On Thursday 30th, a large fire started in a stockpile of disused tires of the “Famaprica” Company, located in the sector of Rinconada, in the municipality of Maipú. It was estimated that 3.000 tires were on fire this Thursday morning. 32 people were evacuated and 3 volunteers with minor injuries were reported.  New fuel spill affects Puerto de Ventanas in              Puchuncaví This afternoon, during the maintenance works to the pipes of the company Enex, located in the Port of Ventanas de Puchucaví, a hydrocarbon spill occurred on the pier's floor that ended up falling into the sea. After the spill of the hydrocarbon, the personnel of Enex and of Puerto Ventanas S.A., activated the protocols and response measures, containing the product and deploying absorbent sleeves between the pier pillars of the same port company. The maritime authority, for its part, within its emergency protocols, arranged afloat and terrestrial means to prevent the spilled product from reaching the Ventanas beach. The personnel of the Captaincy of Puerto Quintero informed that "it will keep verifying the control of the emergency and supervising the cleaning work"

World Cup: Most important and viewed sports tournament

It is almost time for another World Cup to begin in Russia, but despite the content and main attraction that makes it exciting, i think that historically this tournament has become the most important for an specific sport worldwide. It is incredible how this Cup can stop the whole world and become the center of attention for a whole month in most of the countries around the world.
