It is a very disappointing story what happened to Katy. I can not believe there can be such bad intentioned people to make a person try to take his own life. It is simply unaccepatble. However, in Katy's case, i think that if she would've had someone to talk to about her situation this would had not ended like this. Suicide is a common fact in our world, and is getting more popular in school kids that are abused or bullyied by their owm classmates. This is why is important to ask people how they feel and care about them even if you are friends or not. Maybe you can figure out that that person is having a worse situation than you imagine
ResponderEliminarI think that what happened to Katy is a tragedy, and it is true that bullying is a mayor factor but the truth is that depression and anxiety are common ilnessed among teenagers this days and they are the main cause of teen suicide, but students don’t feel comfortable talking about such topics because we have made them taboo subjects. I believe we need to start addressing this issues and teach teenagers that they are common and that they can talk about them, we need to let teens know that they can get help and that it will get better.

As today's youth we need to realize that every problem has a solution, except death. There is no shame in asking for help and support to friends and family if we are going through tough times. And as good friends and classmates we shouldn't turn a blind eye to someone who is really showing signs of needing help.
ResponderEliminarI think that what happened to Katy is a clear fact that in Chile in all social clases teenagers suffer from bullying. Nowadays the most common bullying is on social medias and is the worst. Because for teenagers that are in constant interaction with cellphones and internet all the time they now are influence by the media. So if the media, in other words, the people behind the screens are not happy with them as they really are, this could affect the life of a girl or a boy in full development. So as Katy was suffering, she had to take control of the situation by herself because she in that instant didn’t find another way to escape from the big problem that she was living. Katy’s story must be seen by chilean people as a lecture that we must do something about bullying! We can’t let more teenagers to suffer for a cause that is not worth it! People that is a victim must talk before it is too late and the witnesses should not protect the abuser! I beg the goverment to take meaures about the matter under discussion before it is too late!
