Feminist march

On March 16, chilean women took the streets of Santiago and protested for womens rights against violence, sexism and violence of gender in education. Thousands of women participated. The march was transmitted live in the news due to its strong and powerful message that presents a very important topic for womens rughts that is still being violated to this day. What do you think of this? Would you have participated?

    I think it is really good for women to protest for our rights. They transmitted a strong and powerful message that got to everyone in the country. Even though I agree that it is good for everyone to express what they think, I don't think it was right to make civil damage and to disrespect the catholic church as they did.

    I support the cause a 100% but the way they did things was violent and I am totally against that. I would have participated if thing would have been made different. I get that showing the breasts was to make a point, but due to that people took more attention to the fact that they were half nude instead of the real statement they were trying to approach. I believe any protest is good, as long it is made the right way.

    I agree with some reasons why they are protesting but I dont share the way that they are making this protest. In some case they say no to the violence but then a group of protestants go and destroy a sculpture.

"Intentional" fire at storage in Maipu

On Thursday 30th, a large fire started in a stockpile of disused tires of the “Famaprica” Company, located in the sector of Rinconada, in the municipality of Maipú. It was estimated that 3.000 tires were on fire this Thursday morning. 32 people were evacuated and 3 volunteers with minor injuries were reported.  New fuel spill affects Puerto de Ventanas in              Puchuncaví This afternoon, during the maintenance works to the pipes of the company Enex, located in the Port of Ventanas de Puchucaví, a hydrocarbon spill occurred on the pier's floor that ended up falling into the sea. After the spill of the hydrocarbon, the personnel of Enex and of Puerto Ventanas S.A., activated the protocols and response measures, containing the product and deploying absorbent sleeves between the pier pillars of the same port company. The maritime authority, for its part, within its emergency protocols, arranged afloat and terrestrial means to prevent the spilled product from reaching the Ventanas beach. The personnel of the Captaincy of Puerto Quintero informed that "it will keep verifying the control of the emergency and supervising the cleaning work"

World Cup: Most important and viewed sports tournament

It is almost time for another World Cup to begin in Russia, but despite the content and main attraction that makes it exciting, i think that historically this tournament has become the most important for an specific sport worldwide. It is incredible how this Cup can stop the whole world and become the center of attention for a whole month in most of the countries around the world. I hope this year´s edition will be as intense and thrilling as the last one in 2014.
