Stephen Hawking’s Death

Yesterday, March 14, 2018 a man that changed the way we see the entire universe passed away. This man is Stephen Hawking. Now, how is the world coping with this? At age 22 he was diagnosed with ELA and was given 2 years maximum to live, yet here we are and he lived 55 years. So even if he died pretty young for the average man, 76 years, every year, as he would state, was a miracle. Now, how do i feel about this? I think that when things like this happen it just makes you take everything into perrspective. When i heard about this i was like, well now, how many great scientists like him, that have changed our way of thinking, are still alive? And it shook me to realize that there are none, at least that i know of. So, how do you feel about this?

  1. It is amazing how Stephen Hawking with a disability due to a motor neuron disease related to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis can become one of the most recognized scientists in the world and in history, he impressed the world until the last minute with his scientific theories and discoveries. I believe that Hawking made it more than clear that even with the hardest obstacles that you can face in life you can become the best of all as long as you do not give up. He is an example that we should all follow and it is a pity to have lost one of the most brilliant minds that have touched this world.

  2. Agreeing with Tomás and Bernardita, this death was very different since it was the death of one of the most recognized scientists in history, which despite his terrible illness showed that his physical deterioration never affected his incredible brain and intelligence that led him to be one of the most important discoverers of the decade. Clearly the death of Stephen Hawking was very significant since he was the man who made us change our perspective on the universe and one of the few great scientists that we had the privilege of living at the same time as him. Hawkings not only left us scientific teachings but also left us a lesson in life through his strength and desire to succeed despite his illness and being the best in what he was passionate about.
